The Long Island City Community Boathouse is an all volunteer, non-profit group dedicated to kayaking and education on the East River.
We paddle the waterways in a fleet which consists of mostly bright yellow sit on top kayaks. Often we resemble a fruit bowl filled with bananas as we "raft" together to enjoy a swift-running current up the river or downstream.
